Demystifying Islam
Islam
has recently become one of the hottest, yet most
misunderstood, news items throughout the Western world.
Numerous books, articles, documentaries etc. have been
written analyzing and commenting on this religion of 1.5
billion adherents, yet few have tackled presenting its
principles and beliefs to the general public. Although a
formidable task, Unity Foundation attempt to do this via
interfaith dialogue and our celebrated ‘Demystifying Islam’
programme.
The acclaimed programme continues to allow participants
to become familiar with the precepts upon which Islam stands
and to decide for themselves whether what is presented is
representative or biased. The events are a must for anyone
who wants to better understand the growing phenomenon that
is ‘Islam’, not only in the global politics of this world,
but also in the fabric of so many western societies.
Demystifying Islam conveys balanced, accurate information
about Islam. The D.I programmes are designed to quash
misconceptions and set the record straight about the
religion, via accessible seminars and community gatherings
aimed at non Muslims and public agencies etc.
The program helps to facilitate much needed interfaith
dialogue and community cohesion, delivered by world renowned
English speaking scholars who not only have a secure grasp
of God’s religion, but are also confident and clear about
how to articulate Islam in the context of western society.
